Tile dimensions are the common nominal figure for this type of set and vary by a millimetre or so between factories.
What this set actually is
A lost tile does not have to mean a new set. Replacement tiles are sold by size and by face, and a set that is a standard size number will usually accept a replacement from another factory with only a slight colour difference on the back.
Blank tiles have a second use: eight blanks with joker stickers turn a 144-tile Chinese set into a 166-tile American one when combined with the flowers. It is a budget route into American play, with the caveat that the Chinese tiles will not have the Arabic numerals that make American sets easy to read.
Measure your tile before ordering. The size number is nominal and factories differ by a millimetre or so, which is enough to be visible in a wall.
