How this site makes money

MahjongSetGuide earns commission from two affiliate programmes: the AliExpress affiliate programme, which we access through the Admitad affiliate network, and the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.

What that means in practice

Every button on this site that says “Check Price” carries an affiliate tag. If you click one and buy something within the store’s attribution window, we receive a small commission from that store. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be had you gone there directly — the commission comes out of the store’s margin, not out of your pocket.

What it does not change

Commission rates across the sets we cover are similar, so there is no financial reason for us to push one set over another. The ordering on our pages reflects which we would recommend, not which pays best. The solid red button always goes to AliExpress and the outlined button always goes to Amazon; we do not swap them depending on what pays more.

Where we have not checked a specific listing by hand, we say so on the page and send you to a search rather than to a single seller. Linking to a plausible-looking wrong listing would earn the same commission, which is precisely why we mention it.

Prices and availability

We do not publish prices, discounts, star ratings, review counts or stock levels anywhere on this site. Both stores change these constantly, and both programmes only permit displaying them when they are pulled live with a timestamp. Rather than show a figure that will be wrong within days, we send you to the listing where the current information is the accurate one.

No manufacturer has paid for placement, reviewed our copy before publication, or been given the opportunity to change it afterwards.
